I need help in filling some gaps. This is what I know:

DOD: Jan 27 1976 - Worcester MA
Wife: Marie Terese Chaigneau of Parthenay France - He meet her during the war
Children: Alime Terese, Alma (Rita), Yvette Donalda, Jacqueline (Jackie) Beatrice

GGrand Father: William Charles Muir
DOB: About 1871 - Marlboro MA
DOD: not know
Wife: Alma M. Lacouture - Marlboro MA
Children:
Sons: Ernest William, Albert W, Arthur J.,
Daughter: Aline (she died in a fire as a child)

GGGrand Father: John Steven Muir
DOB: Estimated between 1821 and 1831 - Canada
DOD: not know - MA
Wife: Rosanna Chobot (not really sure on here name and/or spelling)
Children:
Sons: William Charles, Wilbur, Walter J.,
Daughters: Evonne, Camilla (not sure of names and/or spelling)

GGGGrand Father: William Muir

Wife: Claire Neveux (not sure on name and/or spelling)

I am told that we have Apache Indian in our lineage but have not been able to find anything - the closet I can find is lineage that has Cherokee but can't link my family into it. My grandfathers family came from Canada but nor sure of which region or when. Supposedly we are decesndants of John Muir (Naturalist) but I can not find any direct link. Probably a very distant relative.

I would appreciate it if you would check your d-base and help me fill in the gaps.

Did you see my reply in your e-mail? You and I actually appear related thru a common MUIR ancestry. They were up in the area of Montreal/Chateauguay/LaPrairie in Quebec. We had also been told of an "Indian ancestry," but this is the only area where I figure it could have been. This line of MUIRs was intermingled with the French Canadians and possibly some of the Indians of that area ... possibly Iroquois (esp. Mohawk) or Huron. Let me know if you didn't get my e-mail and we can chat more about this. Your William (AKA Guillaume m. Marie-Claire NEVEU) was a brother to my gr-gr-grandfather, Peter (AKA Pierre) m. Martha (AKA Martine) LABERGE. Their parents were William MUIR & Catherine BERTRAND. I have a LOT of info on William and Catherine's descendants. As far as William's ancesty, I do have "tentative" links made, but they need a LOT more verification before we can accept them more concretely.
