I am looking for information on relatives to Esther Muir. She was a famous actress in the 1930' adn 1940's. My grandfather, Henry Muir is her Nephew. Henry's father Matthew Lynn left him when he was 8 years old and never contacted him before he passed. I have recently been in contact with Esther's granddaughter and have found some information on other relatives. Esther and Matthew had 8 other siblings. Their father was Curtis Muir, who lived in NY. Curtis was the son of James Muir. My grandfather gres up in NJ and also lived a time in Beverly Hills California, when his Aunt was building her acting career. His father lived their until he died. Looking for info beyond these times.

7. Esther MUIR (Curtis-2, James-1) was born on 11 Mar 1903 in Andes (Delaware), NY.3,4 She lived in Willets (Mendocino), CA before 1951.3 She lived in Somers (Westchester), NY about 1994. She died on 1 Aug 1995 in Mt. Kisco (Westchester), NY.3,5 She lived in Lincolndale (Westchester), NY.3 She was an Actress. She was a Real estate.

Esther MUIR and Busby BERKELEY were married in 1930.5 They were divorced in 1931.5 Busby BERKELEY was born.

Esther MUIR and Sam COSLOW were married on 1 Nov 1934 in Mexicali, Mexico. They were divorced in 1948. Sam COSLOW5 was born. Esther MUIR and Sam COSLOW had the following children:

My grandfather Henry Lynn Muir was born to Matthew Lynn Muir (He went by the name of Lynn) and Enda Muir (Metz) in 1931. He was the Only child. Matthew Lynn was the youngest in this line of Muir's under Curtis. He was 3 years younger than Esther. He died in California in 1992. My Grandfather and his wife Margaret Muir (Donato) had 3 children. John Henry Muir (My father), Robert Muir, and Janice Muir (Seiler / Scheller). I have a brother David Michael Muir. Robert had 1 son, James Muir, and Janice has 3 children. Eve Seiler, Phil Seiler, and Rachel Seiler. My wife Lynn Muir and I have 2 children, Ella Karen Muir and Brodie Daniel Muir. James has 1 child, Shelby Muir. His wife is Michelle Muir. I just gave you the line of Muir's that I have known my whole life, and until recently this was the only tree I have known
I really appreciate your help and would love to know more about the other siblings in the line of Curtis. I have recently talked via facebook with Mariamne Eliopolus, my grandfather's cousin. She is one of Jackie Coslow's 2 children she had with Ted Elipolus (Sorel) a famous actor. Her brother's name is Vassily Eliopolus. Mariamne has been wonderful in sharing information and stories about the family. I would love to know more about the families of the other siblings as well. Curtis and Estella had 8 other children. From oldest to youngest, Jennie Muir (Kehoe), Minetta Muir, Anna Muir, Nellie Muir, Selia Muir, Marshall Muir, Ethel Muir, and Everett Muir. Esther and Matthew Lynn followed to make 10. Thanks so much for sharing the above. I have now put the above into my database and am definitely willing to do more searching for you, but ... could use some more pointers from you. You mentioned the 10 children of Curtis and Estella ... could you please furnish me what info you may have on them, esp. their birthdates and places, if possible. I do know of folks with some of these names, but ... don't know if they're connected until I have more specific info.
