HI .......IN THIS SUMMER OF 2009 I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WERE HAVE ALL THE BUTTERFLIES GONE AND. HAVE YOU NOTICED THEIR ABSENCE ? ANOTHER THING THAT IS BOTHERING ME IS TOO FEW BEES.. THESE ARE INDICATIONS OF ANOTHER THING TO WORRY OVER. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR IDEAS. DAVE A MUIR
There are a LOT of things in "nature" that are changing at this point. We still seem to have a number of butterflies around, but haven't seen too many bees, although a friend of ours who has a few hives seems to be doing pretty well, but he's been doing the bee thing only for a few yrs. and can't comment much on any actual major type changes in that area. One thing, being a Bible believer, there are a LOT of "things" that have been foretold that have already happened ... and not too much left for 'em all to be fulfilled. At least that's my personal "take" on it, in part.
hi tree. i must apologize for being slow to react. about nature and hawks there is a web site it the PENN STATE that i receive email letters from. The site is "HAWK MOUNTAIN" and apparently well known. i get raptor lists of the number of different species of raptors that frequent the up draughs of HAWK MOUNTAIN. It also reminds me when my brother and i went out looking for red tail hawks. My brother john died in 2000. You would have liked him. I have several paintings (OIL) of his. He was really his brothers keeper. He got his pilots permit before his drivers permit. He was a better drawer then i especially with wild animals. My father would say to me that i was the better painter. maybe at first but after a while i think he was the better artist. He received his degree in the anthropology At the university of toronto. I got a chuckle when you asked if i was out there.... yours DAMuir

Dear David:
I LOVE "nature" myself. It's so amazing the true beauty of things, once you start looking in 'em ... not only the beauty, but the way everything is so intricately constructed and linked together to other "things" is awesome. In fact, looking at nature is a major factor that helped lead me to a belief in God. All of this "stuff" couldn't have "just happened" by itself. There is way too much "logic" to it.
I'm sure I would have loved to meet your brother. The loss of a dear one can be so difficult to deal with, too. So far, all I've "lost" in my fam had been my dad quite a few yrs. ago ... and that still hurts, but ... I truly do believe there's the possibility of seeing him again ... in the not to far future.
