Keep this info on site...have not had a chance to get to it yet. I have all or most of this, but there could be a detail or two that would be useful. I sent you a note saying that you should check Walter Comyn, and who he married, as the info you had is confused. I know because I had the same data from same source, and disproved it. So I'm serious about this, and your result will help you straighten out Sir Gilchrist's marriage (which poses more problems than it solves). I have a lot of reservations about LDS data in this early period. I think they use the early More records as training exercises in research. Their results vary considerably, but there is a way, hopefully to get around this. Many of their investigators become authors of fiction, rather than recorders of valid research. Just the same theirs is just about the only research available. At least it can give a clue about where to look next. I wish I could find a straight answer to this. Seasons Greetings. 11. Sir Adam MURE of Rowallan1 (William-4, Archibald-3, Gilchrist-2, David-1) was born about 1290.1 He lived in Rowallan (Ayr), Scotland after 1290.1

Joan CUNNINGHAM1 was born about 1293.1 Sir Adam MURE of Rowallan and Joan CUNNINGHAM had the following children:

+19 i. Lady Elizabeth MURE of Rowallan, born about 1321, Rowallan (Ayr), Scotland1; married Robert (Robert II) STUART King of Scotland, on 22 Nov 1347; died between 1355 and 1358, Scotland1.

Sir Adam MURE of Rowallan and Janet MURE were married about 1320.2 Janet MURE1 (daughter of Gilchrist MURE) was born about 1295 in Polkelly (Ayr), Scotland.1 Sir Adam MURE of Rowallan and Janet MURE had the following children:

+19 i. Lady Elizabeth MURE of Rowallan, born about 1321, Rowallan (Ayr), Scotland1; married Robert (Robert II) STUART King of Scotland, on 22 Nov 1347; died between 1355 and 1358, Scotland1.
+20 ii. Adam MURE, born about 13232; married Joanne DANNESTOUN, about 13302; died about 13992.
+21 iii. Andrew MURE, born about 1325, Rowallan (Ayr), Scotland1; married (MURE), about 13502.

12. Ranald (Reynold) MURE (William-4, Archibald-3, Gilchrist-2, David-1) was born about 1291 in Rowallan (Ayr), Scotland.1 He died about 1357.1

Ranald (Reynold) MURE and GRAHAM were married about 1310.1 GRAHAM (daughter of Sir John DE GRAHAM and Margery) was born about 1295 in Linlithgow (West Lothian), Scotland.1


15. William MURE (Reginald-4, Archibald-3, Gilchrist-2, David-1) was born about 1299 in Abercorn (West Lothian), Scotland.1 He died after 1380.1

Isabella GRAHAM was born in 1300 in Abercorn (West Lothian), Scotland.1


16. Gilchrist MURE1 (Reginald-4, Archibald-3, Gilchrist-2, David-1) was born about 1301 in Cowdans (West Lothian), Scotland.1

Gilchrist MURE had the following children:

+22 i. Godfrey MURE, born about 1330, Caldwell (Ayr), Scotland1; married (MURE), about 13571.
