Hi Robert, I looked up your Thomas Muir on Scotlandspeople. He married Jean Colquhoun on November 27 1817 in Campsie. Although I have four Thomas Muirs on my family tree I am afraid that I cannot find one that fits with your ancestor. My ggg Grandfather's brother was a Thomas Muir born in 1771 but he married in 1805 in Culter in Lanarkshire. My Muir ancestors all came from the Lanarkshire/Peeblesshire border - I have found no links with Campsie. I am sorry not to have been able to help you.
best wishes, Oliver,
Hi Robert, I do have relatives in the London area but they only arrived in London in about 1903 - none were there that I know of in the 1860's Do you have any more info that I can use to check this out ?
regards, Oliver

Hi Randy, Years back you recieved my Muir info and organized it for me {thankyou]. I have recently recieved some corrected info from a researcher in Gedcom format at Genes Reunited. Would you like me to forward it?

A warm welcome from a chilly Tennessee. Hope you can feel free to just join right in. Things are really slow right now ... esp. since this is a new site and with the "holydays." PLEASE feel free to make any suggestions and please let us (or at least me) know what your MUIR genealogy interests are. I have a LOT of MUIR info (89,000+ folks at this moment) and am very willing to share. Quite probably I may have some kind of links for you.
